Spicy Chicken Wings

This a great recipe for the summer.  It is very versatile in so much as you can cook it in the oven or on the BBQ.  Equally you can serve it hot or cold.  Quite often I cook the wings in the oven, then finish them off on the BBQ for the charred effect.

Ingredients

Ikg Chicken Wings

1 tbsp. light brown sugar

1 tbsp. tomato ketchup

2 tsp hot paprika

1 clove garlic crushed

1 fresh chilli chopped (deseeded)

2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp. olive oil

S&P

Method

  1. Place the chicken wings in a bowl
  2. In a separate bowl mix all the remaining ingredients, pour over the chicken and coat well
  3. Cover with cling film and leave to marinade for a couple of hours or ideally overnight
  4. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees c or heat up the BBQ!
  5. Transfer the wings and the marinade to a roasting tin and cook for 30 minutes, turning half way

Karen’s tip – as I often say, use a food thermometer
